Here are a few things that sets Marie's apart from the other washes. We here at Marie's have been in the car wash industry since 1990. We are locally owned and operated. All of our chemicals are designed by Amer-Chem Inc. they are all biodegradable, locally made and distributed. We take pride in our business we care how your vehicle turns out, the way your vehicle looks when it leave our place this is a direct reflection to us so the better you vehicle looks the better we look. also want to make sure you are very happy with your experience with us. At Marie's as you enter our wash we bug prep, spray out the fender wells, and sponge off the back end. And then at our exit we do our best to get rid of all the water. After our blow dryer system, by hand we blow out the water from the back of the mirrors and towel dry off what little water is left on every vehicle. We do our best to make sure your vehicle comes out clean the first time. We also offer an Express Interior cleaning it normally only takes about 10 to 15 minutes, while waiting we have an climate controlled waiting room as well as some benches outside. In 2013, a group of animal loving volunteers recognized there was a greater need than what our area was able to offer. They came together to form an all volunteer group, and Midwest Pet Refuge was formed. In 2014 MPR was incorporated, and by 2015 MPR was officially determined a tax exempt 501(c)3 non profit with a full board of directors. We rely on volunteers, fosters, supporters, and donors to operate. As a completely volunteer run organization with no large scale facility, we have had to utilize the help of foster homes to house most of our animals in the past. We do not discriminate between fins, feathers, fur or even scales, and if we can help an animal on to a better life, we will! MPR tries hard to help any animal in need in some way, whether it be networking, transporting, needed vetting, fostering or even advice; however actual admissions are often limited due to space constraints. In 2016 the idea of Cat Tales Bookstore was born. It has been a wonderful resource for MPR. Cat Tales not only serves as a place the community can find excellent used books, but also as an adoption center for many of the cats we have available. Early in 1958, John & Sarah Mast hurried to the home of their friends, Harley & Mary Miller, to tell them the small orchard in Nappanee would be coming up for sale. So excited to see the property, Harley & Mary hopped in John’s buggy and told them “there is no time to waste hitching up my horse---we need to see it now!” Shortly thereafter Harley & Mary would go on to purchase the orchard. In 1958, Miller’s Orchard was formed. A modest orchard situated within the city limits of Nappanee, Indiana. Over the next six decades, Harley & Mary would go on to perfect their famous homemade Amish Apple Butter™ and fresh pressed unpasteurized cider. If you knew them, you knew that their orchard was about much more than just the apples. Blanketed in a true servant’s heart, the two of them would go on to love, serve and quietly provide for their community. Now three generations later, we hope to carry on the legacy that they created in this community. While the footprint of the old orchard looks a little different right now, rest assured that we will do our best to bring you the cider, apple butter and beautiful orchard that you remember.
