Concannon's Pastry Shop was established in 1959 by J. Michael and Wanda Concannon on Charles Street in downtown Muncie, Indiana. In 1978 we built a new facility at 620 N. Walnut Street and moved in. Since then -- thanks to a great response from customers like you -- we have remodeled and added square footage at least four times at that location.
In 1978, Michael T. Concannon purchased the business from his parents. Concannon's is truly a rare family business, with the third generation now heavily involved. Marc Concannon is a trained baker and oversees all candy, popcorn and coffee production.
We have diversified the bakery to include our gourmet popcorns, our house-roasted coffees and our own line of fine chocolates.
In 2009 we opened our Bakery Café at 4801 W. Baker Lane on the north side of Muncie. Like our original shop, it has been enlarged due to customer demand as well. This shop showcases our full line of bakery products and is also home to our deli and coffee bar.
We are so appreciate of our many long-time employees who make customer service a priority, and intensely grateful for the loyal customer following. We see many faces on a daily or weekly basis, and take pride in being a destination for out-of-town guests who seek us out.
